The author - Gerd Rossen
I was born in 1974 in Northern Germany near Flensburg and grew up on a little farm with nature all around.
When I was about 8 years old I got my first little pocket camera, and took snapshots of many
animals, flowers etc. ! After that I didn't photograph anything for a long time until 1999 when I got my first
digital camera. It was very simple and the picture quality wasn't good at all, but I was
fascinated. About half a year later then I got my first good digital camera, with lots of manual
functions, and so my pics got better and better.
Now I have a Nikon Coolpix 990 and a Coolpix 995, and I'm very satisfied with them, especially
with the Coolpix 990, that seems to take better
pictures when joinded together with converters or scopes.
Almost my whole sparetime is spent in the fields enjoying nature and taking photographs, especially
photos of birds.
I hope you'll like my website and photos and I would be glad, if you would help me, making my
homepage a little bit better by correcting my English (I know I'm really bad) and sending me
the English names for insects or plants shown
